Event Designer

We’re making things happen and guess what? We’re growing again! We are seeking another Event Designer to assist in the planning of corporate, charity, and social events. This includes not only live + in-person events, but also virtual + hybrid events. Many of these events will take place throughout the five-state region; however, some will be located in other parts of the country. Event Designer candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends and have the ability to travel multi-days for events.

Event Designer Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

  • Coordination of various logistical items, timelines, and schedules as it pertains to select client live + virtual + hybrid events including:
    • participation in design planning sessions to understand client goals
    • event research
    • venue coordination
    • event design
    • budget development
    • graphic design needs
    • set-up + tear-down
    • event communication plans
    • booking of entertainment and event talent
    • developing fundraising event levels
    • post-event analysis
  • Prompt communication with all current and prospective clients as well as event partners + vendors + other team members
  • Manages relationships with event vendors + contract negotiations
  • Participate with the team of Event Designers + Communications & Graphic Design Specialist the following tasks:
    • inventory management
    • reconciliation of event budgets
    • development of project plans
    • scheduling of vendor meetings
    • conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends
    • development of event design boards for client presentations
  • Stewardship & solicitation of new clients

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing or Communications
  • At least three years of professional event planning experience
  • At least two years of successful work in corporate development or non-profit fundraising experience
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal + written communications
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and troubleshoot difficult situations
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage various projects at once
  • Self-starter with proven experience to prioritize and execute successful and memorable events
  • Innovative + creative with strong problem-solving skills
  • Social media savvy on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Strong proficiency in G Suite + MS Office + DropBox
  • Experience in project management applications like Asana, Trello, and Basecamp
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel
