When the holiday season approaches + the year comes to an end, it’s common to reflect on what you’re grateful for. Our team at The Event Company thrives on practicing gratitude + our giveback to others. In fact, our Founder + CEO, Addie Graham-Kramer, gifted the team daily gratitude journals at our last team retreat. Our team takes time once a week to share with each other something we’re grateful for + daily affirmations we used the week prior. It’s an insightful way to learn about your fellow co-workers + we’d encourage you to try it with your team!

While practicing gratitude is important, we also believe that actions speak louder than words. In the hustle + bustle of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the good things in your life. Whether it’s buying coffee for the person behind you, dropping off extra event flowers to a hospital, or writing a friend a note to cheer them up — choosing to recognize your blessings + pass them along to others is a small action that could impact someone else more than you could imagine.

At The Event Company, we practice this by giving back to our clients. Many of our clients are non-profits + all of our clients have missions that we believe in. From the start, Addie has built a giveback into the bones of our company. At The Event Company’s 10th Anniversary last year, we announced that we had donated $1,125,200 in services to our clients over the last decade. In 2024, we added more than $81,000 to that number. We don’t share these numbers for accolades. Only to inspire anyone reading to count their blessings in this season of gratitude + brainstorm ways they too can giveback to others.
