As 2024 has come to a close + we have turned the page to 2025, we find ourselves looking back on a rewarding year at The Event Company. From coast to coast + everywhere in between, our team has had the incredible opportunity to work on 30 diverse events across 11 cities in four different states—from Chicago to Los Angeles + beyond. Whether our Dream Builders were organizing large-scale fundraisers, intimate corporate gatherings or an educational road trip for South Dakota’s best that spanned over one thousand miles, each event brought triumphs, unique challenges + unforgettable moments. It’s been a year of growth, creativity + collaboration. I’m honored to share some of the highlights that defined 2024 for our team.
CONTINUING TO EXPAND OUR REACH ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
This year marked expansion for The Event Company, as we took our expertise through events + with event educational sessions with partners in Newport Beach, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills + Madison. Planning close to home is always a favorite, but we welcome every opportunity we can to transform the event space outside of the midwest. With a team well-versed in the logistics + all of the little nuances of planning events across the country, our Dream Builders had the privilege of working with amazing clients in major urban hubs, bringing our signature creativity, attention to detail + flawless execution to every city. Whether it was a gala in downtown Chicago or a private event at a coastal resort in California, we were honored to contribute to the success of these events.

MEMORABLE EVENTS WITH A LASTING IMPACT.
In 2024, you saw us take on an exciting variety of events – each one a testament to our adaptability + expertise. For the eleventh year in a row, we had the pleasure of producing a major fundraising gala for over 2,000 guests, where every detail from the pre-event logistics, media + public relations, graphic design, catering + decor to the entertainment—was crafted to support a cause that’s close to our hearts. In addition to large-scale fundraisers, we also orchestrated a live podcast event, which brought together a 140 year-old independent community bank, influential community leaders + creatives for an engaging + interactive experience on the main stage. But perhaps one of our most memorable moments from this last year came from an unforgettable road trip in which our team traveled over 1,452 miles with 300 educators (+ six charter buses) for a statewide hands-on immersive experience. (You won’t believe it when I say it, but we ordered, packed, hauled + distributed 6,469 snacks on this road trip!) I am incredibly proud of how our team handled the logistics, managed the details + created a seamless experience for attendees across so many miles. What an impact!
On the South Dakota Road Trip, one of our final stops for dinner + educational sessions on the East Route of the event took us to Good Roots Farm + Gardens outside of Brookings.
NEW FACES, NEW ENERGY.
This last year was also a year of growth for The Event Company, both in terms of the events we hosted + the talented people who joined our team. We welcomed two new team members, each bringing their own expertise, energy + passion for our industry. These new additions have helped us expand our capacity + enhance the services we offer. From creative brainstorming sessions to on-the-ground event coordination + offering enhanced media + public relations, our team has become even stronger. We’re excited about the future with these fresh perspectives on board! At The Event Company, we know that a strong team is key to creating unforgettable experiences + we’re proud of the talented Dream Builders who help make it all happen.
This was the second year bringing back Dancing with the Sioux Falls Stars + innovative ideas implemented by our team brought additional successes in 2024.
ELEVATING OUR CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS.
One of the true joys of 2024 was deepening our relationships with both new + returning clients. Whether it was a long-term partnership that we formed over 11 years ago with the launch of The Event Company or a first-time collaboration, we made it our mission to go above + beyond to ensure our clients’ visions were brought to life with intention + precision. Over the last twelve months, the feedback we received not only on-site at events, but also in post-event testimonials, was incredibly heartwarming, with many clients praising us for our seamless execution, passion, creativity, + ability to turn complex logistics into a smooth, stress-free experience. This year, we celebrated more than just successful events—we celebrated the bonds we’ve built with amazing individuals + organizations who rely on us to make their most important moments unforgettable.
Sharing a hug with one of our clients from Nicaragua during one of our final events of the year was just so heartfelt + meaningful.
LOOKING TO THE YEAR AHEAD + BEYOND.
As we embark on the new year + new beginnings, this is an opportunity to reset, reflect + dream about the possibilities that are ahead in the year to come as we continue to grow + evolve. Now is the time that we look ahead with energy + excitement in our hearts + minds while celebrating all that we accomplished in 2024 at The Event Company.
On behalf of our entire team, we are filled with excitement for what the future holds! The foundation we’ve built over the last eleven years will continue to propel us forward + this past year was one of transformation + growth. In 2025, we look forward to expanding our reach even further, continuing to cultivate an environment where expertise + creativity collide + building stronger connections with our clients + partners across the country. With a dedicated, passionate team leading the way, we’re more committed than ever to designing events that elevate the vision + celebrate boldness. Day-in + day-out, we lead with intentionality. In 2024, fundraisers + social events in 2024 were adorned with various champagne walls. We integrated this boxwood design as an experiential element into a formal dinner in Chicago in November 2024.
