We’re making things happen + guess what? We are seeking an Event Designer to lead efforts in the planning of corporate, non-profit + social events. Many of these events will take place throughout the five-state region; however, some will be located in other parts of the country. Event Designer candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings + weekends + have the ability to travel.
Duties for the Event Designer may include, but not limited to:
Overall coordination of various logistical items + timelines as it pertains to client events including:
Participation in design planning sessions to understand client goals
Event research
Venue coordination
Event design
Vendor coordination
Budget development
Graphic design needs
Set-up + tear-down
Booking of entertainment + event talent
Fundraising
Post-event analysis
Manages relationships with event vendors + contract negotiations
Prompt communication with all event partners + vendors + other team members
Stewardship of existing client relationships
Participate with the team of Event Project Managers, Event Brand Designer + Communications Manager for the following tasks:
Development of event design boards for client presentations
Assisting with event budgets
Scheduling of vendor meetings
Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends
experience required:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing or communications
At least two years of professional project management + vendor management experience
Work in corporate development or non-profit fundraising experience is preferred
Experience in successful management + execution of projects from start to finish
Experience in project management applications like Asana, Trello + Basecamp
Highly organized with ability to multitask + manage various projects at once
Excellent interpersonal verbal + written communications
Thrives in a fast-paced + dynamic start-up environment
Ability to handle high pressure situations + troubleshoot difficult situations
Self-starter with proven experience to prioritize + execute successful + memorable events
Innovative + creative with strong problem-solving skills
Social media savvy on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram + LinkedIn
Strong proficiency in G Suite + MS Office + DropBox
Ability to lift +/or move up to 50 pounds
Must possess + maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license + automobile insurance
Willingness to travel
