The Prime Time Gala, hosted by the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation, is an upscale gala and country music concert that raises funds to fight hunger in the state through Feeding South Dakota. This year’s event had a virtual twist to it and was hosted through a Facebook Live streaming with on-screen images and custom features throughout the evening.
During the event, virtuals guests were able to partake in a live and silent auction through and online auction platform. Guests also heard from South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation President, Ryan Eichler, as he shared the success that they have had over the past year with donations, student scholarships + Fed Cattle Challenge. Matt Gassen, CEO of Feeding South Dakota, was able to share the impact that the Prime Time Gala has on the organization since 2014 and how the generosity has impacted all 66 counties in South Dakota.
With over 9,100 people reached through the virtual event, the event raised a record-setting amount of $285,109 for Feeding South Dakota. This makes the total donation to Feeding South Dakota to be at $1,514,469 in the last seven years
