We’re seeking a Marketing + Communications Manager to lead integrated marketing strategy for The Event Company + its clients, while managing communications execution for a select group of client accounts. We believe marketing, communications + events work together seamlessly to tell meaningful stories + create unforgettable moments. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker, strong executor + someone who can own marketing strategy + messaging while confidently managing timelines + deliverables.
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Lead marketing + communications strategy for not only The Event Company clients, but also for internal initiatives alongside the Communications + Partnerships Manager
- Develop + execute integrated marketing plans across social media platforms, website, email marketing, newsletters + through media relations
- Assist organizations with website content updates + basic layout or design refreshes alongside the Event Brand Designer
- Oversee email marketing campaigns including strategic event communications + special content throughout the year
- Develop + manage 90-day social media content calendars, scheduling content in Gain + tracking engagement + all analytics
- Support public relations efforts led by the Communications + Partnerships Manager including development of press releases + press advisories, earned media outreach + overall event/brand promotion
- Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging + visual standards across all platforms
- Work alongside the Event Brand Designer to develop all digital + print assets needed
- Track performance metrics + support ongoing optimization of marketing efforts + adjust marketing strategies accordingly
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing +/or Communications + Public Relations
- At least three years of marketing, communications + project management experience
- At least three years of experience in management of email marketing platforms, analyzing basic marketing performance metrics, use of social media tools + platforms
- Experience managing content calendars + coordinating deliverables across teams
- Experience developing + executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels
- Ability to translate brand voice + mission into clear, compelling written content
- Experience in project management applications like Asana, Trello + Basecamp
- Excellent interpersonal verbal + written communications
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize + manage competing deadlines for
clients in a fast-paced environment - Ability to handle high pressure situations + troubleshoot difficult situations
- Innovative + creative with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in G Suite + MS Office + DropBox
- Ability to lift +/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must possess + maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license + automobile insurance
- Willingness to travel overnight + out-of-state for clients + events
