There is something truly special about the fall season. Fire pit evenings with the ladies, s’mores, festivals with beer, pumpkin patches, fall flavored coffees, football is back…there is truly so much going on during this season! Our team loves it all. If you are looking for some new ideas to try out this autumn, check out our team’s favorite things we do in the fall for inspiration below – side note, how is it already fall?
For the Outdoorsy Type!
Do you love being outdoors in the fall? Well, let’s be honest. Is there really anything better than picking pumpkins in the fall? Addie + her family cherish this fall activity they do together every year. In early October, they spend a Saturday at Cherry Rock Farms stocking up on fresh produce + flowers. Then they gather two carts that they fill with pumpkins + gourds! They enjoy picking out all kinds from big to small, bumpy to smooth. Even orange + white + green + everything in between. Addie sometimes gets a bit carried away with how many pumpkins + gourds can fit into her car for the six-mile trip home; however, her family manages to get them all tucked in safely. It is such a fun experience, year after year!
Kali loves to hike in the fall. The brisk air + beautiful scenery is tough to beat, especially as the leaves change! There is also something special about those golden hours in the fall that truly are breathtaking.
The Five Senses of Fall
There are so many reasons to love Fall. The leaves are changing, football season is in full swing + it’s finally cool enough to turn on our ovens to bake some delicious desserts! Paige’s favorite dessert to make is the Chewy Brown Sugar Maple Cookies by Half Baked Harvest. These cookies are generously glazed with a sweet + thick +creamy maple glaze that melts in your mouth. This is what makes Paige truly fall in love with Fall – there is no better season to get all of your senses going!
Fall in Love with Football!
You can catch Chesney every weekend enjoying all things football in the fall. Whether it’s Friday night lights, a Saturday tailgate for her college football team (Go Yotes!), or catching a Minnesota Vikings game on Sunday with the family, there is genuinely nothing Chesney loves more in the fall season. Plus, who doesn’t love wearing leggings, cute oversized sweatshirts, or beanies with your favorite team logo all season long?
Kendra also loves cheering in the football stands! Kendra grew up in a small college town + the entire town truly rallied together, being some of the biggest fans. Now that her brother + brother-in-law plays for that team, she loves to go + watch even more! Her dad always runs the game clock + the rest of her family cozies up in the bleachers. As always, tailgating before these games is a lot of fun with good food + socialization, so truly nothing beats college football games in the fall in Kendra’s opinion!
It’s Seahawks Season for Lexi! One of Lexi’s favorite parts about growing up south of Seattle was football season! To her, there isn’t a field in the NFL that even compares, from the diehard fans to the extreme noise levels! After winning the Super Bowl in 2014, Lexi fell in love with not only the giant parade that goes along with the Super Bowl but her city comradery! It’s safe to say she’ll be a 12th Man forever.
We’ll be back with more of our favorite things in the coming months, so stay tuned!
Here’s to more PSL’s + a couple of s’mores + all things fall!
