Margaret Thatcher once said, “If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.”

That’s exactly what’s been happening for the past 11 years at The Event Company, an internationally recognized event planning company run completely by women. CEO and Founder Addie Graham-Kramer said that she saw a need in Sioux Falls for a business like this and a personal calling to show what a woman in charge can do.

She explained that both her parents were entrepreneurs, so she understood what the job was like and what it would take to be successful. She also credits most of her success to the inspirational women before her from around the country who have paved this road for her and she looks to her team looks at her like that as well.
