Makenzie is a graduate and die-hard fan of South Dakota State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Economics + minored in Marketing + Entrepreneurial Studies. Prior to The Event Company, Makenzie worked in wedding planning for three years, where she fell in love with the event industry. By leveraging her experience in the event industry and combining it with her creativity, she is able to craft unforgettable and personalized experiences that leave a lasting impression.

You’ll rarely see Makenzie bored. She has a passion for giving back to her community; so she leads a youth group at her church, is the Scholarship Chair for the East Dakota NWTF + volunteers for local organizations. In case that’s not enough to keep her busy, she fills her weekends by baking, taking a Zumba class, playing pickleball with her friends, or snuggling with her dogs, Kyan + Diesel.

Reading

Makenzie is a huge SDSU fan! She spends her Saturdays in the fall tailgating + cheering on the Jackrabbits football team from the stands.
